Filtering down to 0.1 of a micron, ensures a lot of sediment is removed along with unpleasant taste, odor, chlorine, and provides protection against cysts and bacteria like E. coli. The main difference between the Z6 and Z7 is that the Z6 filters sediment out to 0.1 whilst the Z7 filters sediment out to 1.0 micron.
