PureMix Z6 vs Z7 — Which One Do You Need?

The Z6 and Z7 look identical and install the same way. The difference is filtration precision:

• PureMix Z6 — filters to 0.1 micron. Removes bacteria, E. coli and cysts in addition to sediment and chlorine. The right choice if you want the highest level of protection from mains water.
• PureMix Z7 — filters to 1.0 micron. Removes sediment, chlorine, taste and odour. The right choice if your main concern is water taste and you’re on a standard metropolitan supply.

For most Sydney and Australian metropolitan households, the Z7 is sufficient. If you have any concern about bacterial contamination, are on tank water, or simply want maximum filtration confidence, choose the Z6.

Installation

The PureMix Z6 installs under your kitchen sink and connects inline on the cold water supply before your mixer tap. A licensed plumber can typically complete the installation in under an hour. No benchtop drilling is required. The filter housing dimensions are 413mm L × 90mm W × 77mm H — measure your under-sink cabinet before ordering to confirm clearance.

Filter Cartridge Replacement
