Identifying which toilet you have from Caroma or Fowler is the most important 1st step before ordering spare parts or replacing the toilet. Most Caroma and Fowler toilets now use the same retrofit spare parts which does make it easier but they don’t all have the same set up. Below we will take you through how we identify the correct Caroma or Fowler Toilet, so that you can make the right decision.
Identifying Your Caroma or Fowler Toilet – The First and Most Important Step
Before ordering spare parts or considering a replacement, it’s essential to correctly identify which Caroma or Fowler toilet model you have. While many modern Caroma and Fowler toilets now share common retrofit spare parts—making compatibility easier—not all models are set up the same way.
Below, we’ll guide you through the key steps to identify your toilet model correctly, so you can confidently choose the right parts or replacement unit.

Another way to identify your Caroma or Fowler toilet is by comparing its style to the models listed on the Caroma website. However, this method can be tricky due to subtle design differences across ranges.
If you’re unsure, the easiest solution is to send clear photos of your toilet (including the cistern, bowl, and any model markings) to sales@sydneybathroomware.com.au—our team will assist you in identifying it quickly and accurately.
🔧 Important Tip:
You only need to match your toilet model if you’re planning to replace the entire unit. If you’re just after spare parts, most Caroma and Fowler models now use universal components.
For example, if you’re replacing the outlet valve on a back-to-wall, external cistern, the correct part is the Caroma M5 Quietflow Outlet Valve, which is compatible across most Caroma and Fowler models.
This replacement outlet valve is suitable for and replaces discontinued models including: Caravelle 2000, Cube, Geo, Leda, Milan, Monarch, Opal, Opal 2, Profile, Regal, Sovereign 2000, Sovereign, Retro, Vand, Viceroy, Vintage. Fowler Consort, Newport, Newport Cube, Regent, Seido and Stylus Venecia cisterns. Depending on the type of inlet valve that you have, you may also need to replace the inlet valve with the new conversion kit as the old side entry inlet valve will not be compatible as it will not have anything to hold it into place when you replace the the outlet valve.

Choosing the Correct Inlet Valve
When replacing your inlet valve, there are two options available, depending on how water enters your cistern:
Make sure to check your current setup before ordering a replacement to ensure compatibility.

Caroma Quietflow 2 Back Entry Toilet Cistern Inlet Valve Kit is required if you are replacing your current outlet Valve to a Quietflow M5 and you have a back entry Inlet valve. You can’t keep your current inlet valve as you need the circular clip on this product to hold the inlet valve in place on the Outlet valve. You will also need to remove the old hard pipe inlet hose and replace it with the one that comes in this kit which is a normal flexible hose.
