Geberit Unifill Inlet Repair Kit

Is your toilet filling slowly or making a whistling noise? Before replacing your entire inlet valve, try the Geberit 170.360.00.1/240.771.00.1 Repair Kit. This diaphragm washer is the internal seal for the Geberit Type 380 (Unifill) valve. Over 10+ years, this rubber can perish or become blocked with grit. Replacing just this seal usually restores the valve to “as-new” performance for a fraction of the cost of a new assembly.

It fits into the end of the inlet valve for geberit cisterns and the below related products are other plumbing spares which suit the internals of the Geberit cisterns

Why is my toilet filling slowly? If your cistern takes several minutes to refill or makes a whistling sound, the Geberit Inlet Diaphragm (240.771.00.1) has likely perished or become blocked with grit. This 2-minute DIY fix restores the “Unifill” valve without needing a plumber to replace the entire assembly.

Valve Type: Fits the Geberit Type 380 (Unifill) inlet valve.

How to replace the Geberit Diaphragm:

Turn off the water supply inside the cistern.

Unscrew the large blue or white plastic nut at the top of the inlet valve.

Pull out the old rubber diaphragm (it will likely have a small tear or look distorted).

Ensure the plastic seat is clean of any grit or debris.

Pop in the new 240.771.00.1 seal and screw the nut back on.

Pro-Tip: Don’t over-tighten! Hand-tight is usually enough to create a perfect seal.

Q: Will this fit my Parisi or Villeroy & Boch toilet?
A: Yes, if your cistern uses Geberit internals (which almost all Parisi and V&B models from 2005 onwards do), this is the correct service part. Look for the Geberit logo on the blue or grey plastic valves.

Q: My toilet is making a loud ‘bang’ when it finishes filling. Will this help?
A: Yes! This “water hammer” effect is often caused by a hardened diaphragm that doesn’t close smoothly. Replacing it with this fresh, soft rubber seal usually cushions the shut-off.

Q: What if this doesn’t fix it?
A: If the valve is still noisy or slow after replacing the diaphragm, there may be internal mineral buildup or a crack in the valve body. In that case, you should replace the entire Geberit Type 380 Inlet Valve.
