How to confirm your TECE Cistern size: TECE makes two main cistern depths (8cm and 13cm). To ensure this washer fits your toilet, check these two things:

1. The Brand: Your flush plate must have TECE embossed on the bottom right-hand side.

2. The Seat Test: When you lift your toilet seat and lid, does it hit the flush plate? If the seat does NOT hit the plate, you almost certainly have the 8cm (Slimline) cistern, and this is the correct washer.

  • A: Use the “Seat Test.” If your toilet seat doesn’t hit the flush plate when lifted, you have the 8cm slimline wall. If it does hit the plate, you likely have the 13cm version and this washer will be too small.
