The Dual-Flow Symptom: Is water coming out of your shower head and the hand spray at the same time?

  • The Cause: When the internal seals on this diverter pin perish or become blocked with lime-scale, the “shuttle” can no longer fully block one port. This results in weak pressure at both outlets because the water isn’t being directed correctly.

  • The Cosmetic Tip: Your external pull-knob (the bulb) might look different from the one in the photo. Don’t worry. These bulbs are purely cosmetic and simply unscrew from the threaded end of the pin. You can reuse your original handle with this new internal assembly.

Genuine Kludi Precision Kludi is world-renowned for German-engineered tapware, but even the best seals eventually wear out. This diverter pin is the mechanical heart of your mixer’s switching function.

The “Do It Once, Do It Right” Pro-Tip: When a diverter pin fails, it is usually a sign that the rubber seals inside the mixer are reaching the end of their lifespan. We strongly recommend replacing the Kludi 35mm Mixer Cartridge (75605) at the same time.

  • Why? Replacing both ensures you won’t have to pay a plumber for a second call-out fee in six months’ time when the main mixing cartridge eventually starts to leak or become stiff.

  • Q: My diverter knob is square, not round like the photo. Will this fit?

    • A: Yes. The internal pin assembly is the same. Just unscrew your square knob and screw it onto the new pin once it’s installed in the wall.

  • Q: Why does my diverter pop back in when I turn the water down?

    • A: This is often due to low water pressure or a worn seal on the pin. A new assembly ensures the pin stays engaged even at lower flow rates.

  • Q: Is this hard to install?

    • A: It is a straightforward replacement once the faceplate is removed. However, we always recommend a licensed plumber to ensure the waterproof seal behind the plate remains intact.
