PVD finishes like Aged Iron, Brushed Nordic Brass and Nero are particularly popular in Yokato fitouts where the knurling detail is intended to be a design feature in its own right.

A note on cartridge sizing: This mixer uses a 25mm cartridge, which is the correct specification for shower and basin applications. It is not recommended as a bath fill mixer — the 25mm cartridge does not deliver sufficient flow rate to fill a bath efficiently. • Can I use this mixer for the bath as well as the shower? → No — this version uses a 25mm cartridge, which is the correct size for shower and basin applications but does not provide sufficient flow rate for efficiently filling a bath. A 35mm cartridge bath version is available in the Yokato range. Our team can confirm the right product for your configuration.
• What finishes work best with the Yokato knurled lever design? → The knurled detail reads most strongly in darker and textured finishes — Aged Iron PVD, Nero, Brushed Nordic Brass and Brushed Swiss Brass PVD are popular choices that make the industrial character of the lever a feature. The colour is bonded directly to the brass surface at a molecular level, making it far more resistant to scratching, tarnishing and corrosion than standard electroplated or powder-coated finishes. It’s particularly relevant in high-humidity shower environments.
