Is your flush button sticking or falling in? This Satin Chrome button is the genuine replacement for Valsir, Hideaway, and Meco pneumatic cisterns.
-
The Material Upgrade: The original buttons were often brushed metal. The new version is high-grade ABS Plastic.
-
The Fix: The locking mechanism has been upgraded to prevent the button from snapping off and falling into the toilet—a common issue with the older metal versions.
-
Compatibility: This is for Pneumatic systems only (look for flexible air hoses behind your wall plate). It is not compatible with mechanical rod systems.
Genuine Valsir Spare Part If your toilet button is sticking, “pushing through” without resistance, or failing to engage the flush, it is usually a sign that the internal plastic clips have worn or snapped. This Satin Chrome round button is the direct replacement.
Why the change from Brushed Stainless to Satin Chrome? Valsir has moved to a high-durability ABS plastic for this button. While the color is slightly different from the original brushed stainless steel, the plastic construction is far superior because it:
-
Prevents Snapping: The way the button locks into the housing has been reinforced.
-
Eliminates Corrosion: Unlike metal buttons, ABS won’t pit or corrode in humid bathroom environments.
-
Reduces Weight: A lighter button puts less strain on the pneumatic bellows.
-
Q: My old button was metal; will this plastic one fit?
-
A: Yes. This is the official upgraded replacement from Valsir. It is designed to fit the exact same hole and mechanism as the older metal version.
-
-
Q: My toilet says “Hideaway” or “Meco”—is this the right part?
-
A: Yes. Valsir manufactures the internals for Hideaway and Meco in-wall cisterns. If your button is round and pneumatic, this is the correct part.
-
-
Q: Can I use this if I have mechanical rods?
-
A: No. This button is for Pneumatic systems only (those that use thin air tubes).
-
-
Q: Will this button fall into the toilet like my last one?
-
A: No. The new ABS design features an upgraded locking system specifically designed to prevent the button from snapping and being accidentally flushed.
-
Before you order:Â The pneumatic mechanism on the outlet valve can also be at fault if the cistern is not flushing properly, please check that the bellows are lifting up properly when air is blown through the tube without the buttons on.
