Is this the right seat for your Villeroy & Boch toilet? This seat is the official replacement for the “Subway 1.0” design language.

The Match: Perfectly fits the Subway (Original), Loop, Architectura, and Omnia ranges.

The Exception: This seat will not fit the Subway 2.0 or Subway 3.0.

Pro Tip for Wall-Hung Toilets: If you have a wall-hung pan, please check your measurements against our Compact version. The standard 98M9C101 is designed for the full-size floor-standing and standard wall-hung pans.

To ensure this is your seat, please see the information below:
If the measurement is 480mm then you require the compact seat which is a different one.
If your measurement is 565mm then you require the standard seat which is this one you are currently looking at.

To measure the toilet depth, measure from the back of the toilet (the wall) to the front of the pan.

Q: Does this seat fit the Subway 2.0?
A: No. The Subway 2.0 (and 3.0) uses a different hinge configuration and pan shape. For the 2.0, you require a different specific V&B seat model.

Q: Can I just buy the hinges?
A: Yes, if your seat is in good condition but the soft-close has failed, you can purchase the C4501H Hinge Kit or the 410148 Pistons separately. However, if the seat is over 10 years old, a full replacement is usually more cost-effective.

Q: What is the difference between this and the “Compact” version?
A: The Compact version is shorter in length, specifically designed for small-space wall-hung pans. Most standard Australian back-to-wall Subway toilets require this standard 98M9C101 model.
